A silent auction to benefit Fisher Houses at Tripler Army Medical Center will be held on site. Fisher House has been compared to a Ronald McDonald House for military families, as a place for them to stay while visiting their hospitalized son, daughter, husband, or wife. There is no cost to the family to stay, only the volunteer spirit to maintain the space for all families who will use it and the Spirit of Aloha.

Big Island Film Festival Executive Director, Leo Sears, is a twice wounded Marine from the Vietnam era and understands first hand the benefit of support.

You are invited to participate in our Silent Auction for the Fisher House by donating an item or gift certificate from your business, favorite shop or restaurant.

The Silent Auction is held annually on the final day of the festival immediately prior to the Best of the Fest. This year it will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016.

Best of Fest Ticket Holders or Pass Holders may participate in Silent Auction.

Movie-only Ticket Holders will be admitted after Silent Auction is over.
