Big Island
Film Festival has been blessed with five years of growing participation
by film lovers and film makers. Along with that growth is expanded
sponsorship by Hawaii Island businesses and individuals. We invite
you to become a part of the sixth year of this community event that
hosts and honors new independent filmmakers from Hawaii and around
the world.
Our sponsorship
opportunities come in many shapes and sizes so that this event will
become community based. As creators and producers of this project,
we see our role as the people who put this giant puzzle together each
year. A non-profit fiscal agent assists with securing a Hawaii County
CPEP grant each year which supports the equipment needed. The rest
of the project is produced through donations, advertising sales, in-kind
donations, and sponsorships. The following list shows some of the
ways a business or individual might choose to become a part of the
Big Island Film Festival ohana:
Program
Advertising: 2500 copies, 28 page full color program (magazine
style)
Full page:
$800 net; Half-page: $450 net; Quarter page:$250
Deadline: March 15,2012 - ad specifications sent with reserved space
Silent Auction: Donation of product or gift certificate
to support a charity auction to benefit the Wounded
Warrior Project – item needed by May 18, 2012.
Filmmakers
Welcome Bag: products or discount offers for your business
– approximately 60 bags annually
Sponsorship
of an Award: $125 per award – presented to winning
filmmaker at the Sunday Awards Brunch. This sponsorship includes one
Awards Brunch ticket and a picture taken with award sponsor and the
winning filmmaker. Approximately 12 awards given annually.
Other sponsorships
are available and ideas are always welcome. Donations may be made
directly to Big Island Film Festival or to our non-profit fiscal sponsor,
Redeeming Light International.
